Community Partnership for Homeless Celebrates the Successful Launch of the Mobile Dental Unit Spanish novelist Miguel de Cervantes once said, “Every tooth in a man's head is more valuable than a diamond. “ Now, thanks to Community Partnership for Homeless’ new state-of-the-art mobile Dental Unit, thousands of people a year will be able to experience exactly what Miguel meant. Since the launch of Community Partnership for Homeless’ mobile Dental Unit in early December 2005, the unit has seen an average of six to sixteen people a day.
“We are very thankful to North Dade Medical Foundation and the private
donors who helped fund this cutting edge facility. We are able to fill a
large need in our community by taking these dental services to our
residents.” said Dan Vincent, Executive Director
The truck is far from ordinary. From the outside, the dental unit looks
like an oversized truck, but on the inside, it holds two
full-functioning dental laboratories.
