On 6/5/04, the Homestead Jr. Woman's Club hosted their 3rd annual Teen Prom.
Before the prom, the teenagers had formal evening wear (gowns, dress shirts/pants, shoes) to choose from. When they arrived to the party, they received corsages and boutonnières. Then they were treated to a sit down meal, followed by music and dancing. The teens elected a 'Queen' and 'King', who danced together after the 'Queen' received a bouquet of flowers.
One fortunate teen won the drawing for a portable CD player. At the end of the evening, all of the participants were given a framed picture of themselves that had been taken under an arch of flowers. It was an evening they, nor their parents, will never forget,
